Lindsey and Michael found me on Instagram which warms my heart. I love how social media proves to be beneficial for small businesses like mine. I first met Lindsey at her bridal portraits in Lake Norman. Then, I met with her and Michael for coffee a couple weeks before their big day in Raleigh to go over last minute logistics. After our conversation, I knew photography was one of their top priorities on their list. This made my job that much more meaningful and I certainly felt valued.

Going into this day, I was excited to see what was in store. Of course, the rain hit us right when we were capturing the bridesmaid and groomsman individual photos. After a brief moment of panic, we quickly worked with what we had. We stayed indoors and I grabbed my flash!

This wedding was full of different themes and UNC Chapel Hill was one of them. There was lots of Carolina blue scattered around including the table cloths, Lindsey’s shoes, bridesmaid dresses and the garter. I think she had just enough stuff to claim as “something blue” (to say the least). My most favorite detail was Lindsey’s “something old” – which was claimed by her mother’s Mexican, porcelain bouquet that she carried at her wedding.

I loved how Lindsey and Michael were so eager to sneak out of their reception for 15 minutes to spend uninterrupted time together. I could not have been more satisfied their golden hour portraits!

Lastly, the reception was so interactive and we had a blast! The wedding party entered the dance floor with the Price is Right theme — how fun is that? Not to mention that since it was such a small wedding party, I felt even more like a friend to the bride and groom. Lindsey even texted me the next day saying how she felt like it was as if a friend was photographing her wedding. Dream come true!

And to end the night, they left their reception with Carolina blue game day shakers!
