The holiday season is Kelly’s excuse to break out the fall colors, put on her Christmas vest and get some new family photos on her wall decor. This family of 3 (Kelly, Brooks and their fur baby Benelli) invited me to their home away from home in Banner, Elk. We had SUCH a fun time because #1. Kelly’s dog is the most adorable pup ever! #2. I got to adventure around a hidden gem in the hilltops of NC. #2. They weren’t shy around the camera one bit! It was a photographer’s fantasy.

Although a few raindrops decided to be our friend, it didn’t prevent us from dancing in the rain. Shout out to Target for making the cutest umbrellas ever and creating the perfect esthetic for our session.

We adventured to a lonely, blue bridge, frolicked around a pond, cuddled in a handcrafted bench and met some new cow friends. Even though Benelli was the star of the show, Kelly and Brooks did their best to steal some of the limelight. The “nose to nose” pose never got old and, their outfits were precisely planned and prepared for the day. Thank you Kelly for being the fashionista that you are!

Kelly’s fall jumpsuit and Christmas vest made all the autumn colors complement each other. Oh and Brooks got an excuse to buy a new Johnson and Murphy vest. So everyone was happy! Although the sun was not out to play, it was never an issue. We didn’t stop shooting until there was literally no light left! The 4 hour road trip was well worth it because I got to help create a beautiful, eclectic gallery for this couple. It was everything they imagined and I am so blessed to bring their holiday vision to life.
